Causes of World War II
The Main reasons why World War II began were pretty obvious. The Treaty of Versailles was clearly a cause because it limited Germany and the Germans were not very happy about that. The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty that made Germany take the blame for starting World War I. Also Germany had to pay for the damaged caused for the war. Germany was only allowed to have a small army and six naval ships. No tanks, no air force and no submarines were allowed. The Rhineland area was to be de-militarised. It took land from Germany and it gave it to other countries.
Another reason why World War II started because of Hitler's actions. Hitler decided to forget about the Treaty of Versailles and expand his military. With his military bigger He wanted to gain more land and started to take control of the land around him. France and Britain noticed that Hitler was coming to power and they warned him several times that he could only take over the land around him. Once Hitler took over Poland that was when France and Britain declared war.
